Harish Rao extends support to grieving child Satvika in Siddipet

HYDERABAD: Former Minister and BRS leader Harish Rao stood by Satvika, a young girl in deep grief after losing her father, offering her emotional and financial support.

The incident unfolded during a student awareness programme recently held in Siddipet, where Harish Rao was moved to tears on stage after hearing Satvika’s story. Satvika, daughter of Nagaraju and Vijaya from Siddipet town, tearfully shared that she had lost her father and that her mother was struggling. Overcome with emotion, Harish Rao assured the mother and child from the dais that he would stand by them.

Keeping his promise, Harish Rao invited the mother and daughter to his camp office in Siddipet today. Welcoming them warmly, he shared breakfast with them and inquired about their well-being. Deeply touched by Satvika’s plight, businessman Thirumal Reddy from Hyderabad offered financial assistance of ₹2 lakh. Harish Rao personally handed over the cheque to Satvika and her mother.

Harish Rao specially appreciated Thirumal Reddy for his humanitarian gesture. He assured Satvika that he would continue to support her and encouraged her to study well, succeed in life, secure a good job, and take good care of her mother.

The emotional moment originated during the “Stay Safe, Grow Strong in Life” programme in Siddipet. When students were asked to speak about their parents, Satvika came on stage and said she no longer had a father and that her mother faced many hardships. Harish Rao, hearing her sorrow, immediately called her closer, consoled her affectionately, and promised help.

During the event itself, Harish Rao reached out to his friend, who connected with Thirumal Reddy. The businessman pledged financial support, which was formally handed over today at the Siddipet camp office, where Harish Rao reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Satvika’s future.
