Harish Rao slams Mahesh Kumar Goud for “petty politics”

Hyderabad: BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has taken strong exception to comments made by TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud accusing him of stooping to “petty politics” instead of addressing genuine issues.

Responding to remarks from Mahesh Goud, Harish Rao said it was unfortunate that instead of facing political challenges with courage, Congress leaders were resorting to mudslinging. He insisted that no matter how many baseless allegations were thrown at the BRS, they would not turn falsehoods into truths.

“There have been occasions when we met leaders from other parties – be it during weddings or funerals – but we have never had any personal or backdoor meetings as alleged by you,” Harish Rao declared, calling the accusations “completely unfounded.”

Hitting out at Mahesh Goud, he added: “I conduct politics based on values and principles. I have no interest in stooping to the petty politics that you seem to prefer.”

He urged Mahesh Kumar Goud to focus on fulfilling the promises Congress made to the people during the elections, rather than resorting to cheap political theatrics. “Instead of making baseless allegations, I suggest you act with dignity and prioritise implementing the six guarantees and the so-called 420 promises your party made to the voters,” Harish Rao asserted.
