Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy has called on the State government to immediately release pending Mana Ooru-Mana Badi bills, following complaints from contractors over delayed payments.
Contractors associated with the school infrastructure programme met Reddy on Tuesday, requesting intervention to secure their overdue dues. Responding to their appeal, Reddy contacted Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka by phone, urging immediate clearance of all outstanding bills under the scheme.
Reddy also sent a formal letter to the Deputy Chief Minister, stressing that small-scale contractors across Telangana are under severe financial strain due to non-payment. He said the delay is directly impacting the continuation and quality of school improvement works under the Mana Ooru-Mana Badi programme.
