350th Gurta Gaddi of Guru Gobind Singh celebrated in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: Hundreds of devotees came together in Secunderabad on Sunday to mark the 350th Gurta Gaddi of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This significant occasion celebrates the moment when he formally became the Tenth Sikh Guru. The Prabandhak Committee of Gurudwara Saheb Sitafalmandi, along with Sikh Gurudwaras from across Telangana, led the grand celebration, which featured a mass Kirtan Darbar and a vibrant devotional gathering.

The event took place at the Municipal Grounds in Chilkalguda and welcomed participants from multiple faiths. As a result, the atmosphere reflected strong interfaith unity and mutual respect. Additionally, the celebration coincided with the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He is honoured worldwide for his supreme sacrifice in defending religious freedom and human dignity.

These teachings encouraged compassion, tolerance, and harmony across communities.

To conclude the event, volunteers served Guru-Ka-Langar to everyone, regardless of religion or background. Attendees sat in rows and ate together, demonstrating the Sikh principles of equality and fraternity. This shared meal was more than tradition—it sent a strong message of unity, mutual respect, and social harmony.
