Hyderabad: The Telangana government has constituted a four-member expert committee to investigate the recent fatal accident at Sigachi Industries located in Pasha Mailaram, Sangareddy district.
According to fresh orders issued by Principal Secretary M Dana Kishore, the committee will be headed by CSIR scientist Venkateshwara Rao. Other members include Chief Scientist Pratap Kumar, Surya Narayan, and security officer Santosh Ghoghe from Pune.
The committee has been tasked with identifying the root causes behind the Sigachi Industries accident. It will also review whether standard operating procedures to protect industrial workers were being properly implemented and if the factory’s management was complying with statutory safety regulations.
