Hyderabad: Four residents of Telangana’s Gadwal district were killed in a tragic road accident near Mangoli village in Vijayapura district, Karnataka, when their car collided with a private bus early on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Pothra, Abhiram, Jeevatsna, and the car driver Shivappa. They were travelling with Bhaskar an employee of Canara Bank in Gadwal and his 10-year-old son Praveen, who was seriously injured in the crash. The accident occurred when a private travel bus rammed into their car, killing four on the spot.
The family, originally from Malle Dadi village in Maldakal mandal of Gadwal, was en route when the fatal collision took place. Praveen was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing treatment. His father, Bhaskar, escaped with minor injuries.
The family resided in BC Colony of Gadwal town, and the incident has sent shockwaves through the local community.
