HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident in Telangana’s Sangareddy district, a man named Gopal allegedly murdered 26-year-old Dashrath, who was in a relationship with his daughter. The incident occurred in the outskirts of Eidulthanda village, Nizampet mandal. Gopal reportedly killed Dashrath and, to avoid suspicion, poured petrol on the body and set it ablaze. Following a complaint from Dashrath’s parents, police registered a case and, after five days of investigation, Gopal confessed to the crime and surrendered at the police station. Authorities have since recovered the body and transported it to Narayankhed Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The case is currently under investigation.
This incident follows a recent case in Suryapet town, where a man named Vadlakonda Krishna was murdered after entering into an inter-caste marriage. These events have sparked concerns over honour killings in the region.
