Vijayawada: Three people, including an engineering student and two children, drowned in separate incidents in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
At Madanoor Beach in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, two students went for a swim during the holiday. One of them, identified as Harsha, a second-year engineering student, drowned. Local fishermen managed to rescue the other student.
In a separate tragedy in Srikakulam district, two children drowned in the temple tank of the Umaramalingeshwara temple in Amudalavalasa. The children were visiting the temple with family members when they accidentally fell into the tank while bathing and died.

Both incidents occurred during holiday outings and have caused deep grief among the affected families.
Local authorities have begun inquiries and urged visitors to take safety precautions during visits to beaches and temple water bodies.
