RIYADH: The Royal Court announced on Saturday that the Supreme Court has declared Sunday, March 30, 2025, as the first day of Eid Al Fitr 2025 for the year 1446 AH.
The decision was made following the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon in several regions across the Kingdom, officially marking the end of Ramadan and the start of the Islamic month of Shawwal.
Eid Al Fitr 2025 will be observed throughout Saudi Arabia with special congregational prayers on Sunday morning, followed by communal and family celebrations.
In a similar announcement, authorities in the United Arab Emirates confirmed that Eid Al Fitr 2025 will also be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, after the Shawwal crescent was sighted.
The sighting of the Shawwal crescent marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid Al Fitr festivities across the Islamic world.
