Dharmapuri Arvind warns Congress over corporator poaching

Hyderabad: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind warned that Congress would face the same fate as the BRS if it forcibly shifted municipal ward members and corporators for political gain.

Speaking to the media in Nizamabad, Dharmapuri Arvind said the Congress government in the state was not strong and claimed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was not in a secure position. He alleged that public resentment against the Chief Minister was growing. Moreover, he cautioned that attempts to move corporators would invite further backlash.

Dharmapuri Arvind stated that the BJP dominated both Congress and BRS in the Nizamabad Corporation. In addition, he said the BJP secured more seats than the BRS in other municipalities within his parliamentary constituency. He thanked voters for supporting the BJP in the municipal elections.

Dharmapuri Arvind alleges police misuse by Congress

Dharmapuri Arvind accused the government of misusing the police department. He questioned why police registered cases against him and said he should instead file cases against the police. Furthermore, he alleged that officials pushed BJP candidates out of polling booths and asked voters to support Congress.

He also claimed that Congress leaders received assistance in moving BRS corporators. He questioned whether the police intended to maintain law and order or disturb it. Additionally, he criticised former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and said voters defeated him for corrupting politics. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was now repeating similar practices.

Dharmapuri Arvind said political dignity must prevail and added that parties should decide independently whom their corporators support. He congratulated BJP leader Bandi Sanjay for the party’s performance in the municipal polls. Finally, he criticised TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and described Congress as a broker party rather than a secular force.
