Speaking after the inspection, Shivdhar Reddy said the police are working on a comprehensive security plan. Access to the summit venue will be strictly limited to registered delegates on the first two days. From December 10, the venue will open to the general public for four days.
To ensure tight surveillance, the department is installing over 1,000 CCTV cameras at key locations. These will be directly connected to the central police control room. The team also examined the law and order exhibition stalls already under setup.
Additionally, authorities will deploy nearly 1,000 traffic police officers. Traffic marshals will manage diversions, barricades, and parking zones to ensure smooth vehicular flow. Public access routes will undergo diversions during the summit to prevent congestion.
The DGP also inspected basic infrastructure such as barracks, kitchens, mess facilities, and toilets. He urged all departments to coordinate seamlessly and avoid any lapses. Since the summit is being held under the Chief Minister’s direct supervision, he stressed the need for a foolproof security setup.
