Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Shivadhar Reddy inaugurated the training programme for 115 newly selected Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) on Thursday morning. The programme began at the Telangana State Police Academy (TGPA) in Rajendranagar.
TGPA Director Abhilasha Bisht welcomed the DGP with a ceremonial guard of honour. Speaking at the event, DGP Reddy said this is the largest DSP batch in Telangana’s history. He described it as a proud moment for the state police.

The DGP told the trainees that the ten-month course would be both challenging and rewarding. Moreover, he expressed confidence that every officer would overcome hardships and perform with courage and commitment. He urged them to serve people with sincerity and win their trust through empathy.
He also advised newly recruited women DSPs to act as role models for future officers. Therefore, he encouraged all trainees to stay united, support one another, and build friendships that last beyond training.
Reddy highlighted three values integrity, empathy, and professional excellence — as the foundation of good policing. Furthermore, he reminded officers to remain connected after their postings. He said networking helps in coordination and strengthens the police system.
Finally, he congratulated the batch and wished them success in their training and future roles.
