Delhi explosion kills dozens, PM Modi seeks report

Hyderabad: A deadly explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday triggered nationwide alarm. The blast killed dozens and left more than 30 others critically injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Union Home Minister Amit Shah to get a full briefing. Shah, after the call, ordered a high-level investigation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), the National Security Guard (NSG), and the Delhi Police Special Cell are now leading the probe. Forensic teams and clue units collected samples from the blast site.

This is the capital’s first major explosion since the 2011 Delhi High Court bombing, nearly 14 years ago. Officials suspect a terrorist link but have not confirmed it.

Red Fort blast under high security review

Amit Shah is holding talks with senior Delhi Police officers. Authorities have stopped vehicle movement from Daryaganj to the Red Fort as a safety measure.

Police have sealed off the area. Multiple agencies are examining the collected evidence.
