DCP Central Zone inspects patrol units, stresses emergency readiness

Hyderabad: The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, carried out a detailed inspection of Patrol Mobiles and Blue Colts teams on Tuesday at Public Gardens, reviewing their readiness to respond to emergencies and maintain order on city roads.

The inspection covered 20 patrol cars and 31 Blue Colt bikes from 10 police stations under Central Zone. Vehicle conditions, staff preparedness, and critical equipment such as Anti-Desecration Drill kits, First Aid Kits, and fire extinguishers were checked. Officers were tested on their ability to perform CPR and handle emergency tools.

The DCP engaged with field personnel, reminding them of their key role as first responders for Dial 112 emergency calls. Police staff were instructed to remain smart, alert, and polite when dealing with citizens and to promote public awareness on cyber safety, Dial 112 use, and safety practices.
