BJP MP D Arvind calls Jubilee Hills result disappointing

Hyderabad: BJP MP D Arvind on Friday described the Jubilee Hills result as deeply disappointing for party workers, after the party’s candidate failed to secure even the second position in the Assembly by-election.

Speaking after the official declaration of results, Arvind said, “We may not have won, but the BJP should have at least secured second place.” He admitted the party had performed poorly and questioned the disconnect between national support for BJP and its weak showing in Telangana.

“If the entire country is supporting the BJP, why did our candidate receive so few votes in Telangana?” he asked.

Jubilee Hills result raises concern over BJP’s Telangana strategy

Arvind reiterated his previous claim that the BRS had become irrelevant in Telangana and that the real contest was now between BJP and Congress. He warned that unless the BJP formulates a solid strategy to counter Congress, the ruling party would further consolidate its position before the upcoming Assembly polls.

He urged the party leadership to take immediate corrective measures, stating that failure to act decisively would allow Congress to strengthen its hold in the state.
