Cyberabad Police hosts ‘Open House’ to educate students on law and order

Hyderabad: As part of Police Commemoration Week, the Cyberabad Police held an ‘Open House’ event on Thursday at the Cyberabad Parade Grounds. The event aimed to give students a firsthand look at police operations and public safety practices.

DCP Srujana Karnam, from the Women and Child Safety Wing, inaugurated the programme. In her address, she urged students to focus not just on academics but also on understanding policing and social issues. “Every student should know how a police station functions and how police maintain public order,” she said.

More than 550 students attended the event. They came from schools like Sunshine Global School, Indian People School, Sri Goutham High School, and others across Cyberabad’s five zones.

Live demonstrations and tech briefings draw interest

In addition, police teams explained advanced tools like non-linear junction detectors (NLJD) and field operational support systems (FOSS). The event also featured a police band drill, a horse-riding show by the Mounted Police, and a silent drill by the Special Party.
