Hyderabad: Communist Party of India (CPI) National Secretary CPI Narayana on Sunday demanded that former Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao resign from his MLA post for skipping the ongoing Telangana Assembly sessions.
CPI Narayana criticised KCR for staying away from key debates, including the 42 percent reservation bill for Backward Classes and the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project.
“Instead of attending the Assembly, is KCR playing dramas in the farmhouse? This is sheer irresponsibility,” Narayana remarked.
He praised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for introducing the bill to enhance BC reservations. Narayana urged the House to pass it quickly and forward it to the Centre for approval.
The CPI leader reaffirmed his party’s support for the government on this issue. He also appealed to all parties to cooperate in the interest of Backward Classes and the state.
