Ministers back in the hot seat as Congress revives ‘Mukha Mukhi’

Hyderabad: The Congress party is set to relaunch its ‘Mukha Mukhi’ interactive platform, aimed at fostering direct dialogue between ministers and the public. After a brief hiatus, the first session is scheduled for Wednesday at Gandhi Bhavan, with Minister Ponnam Prabhakar leading the engagement from 11 am to 1 pm at the Indira Bhavan premises.

The return of the face-to-face forum follows a brief pause due to logistical setbacks, but it’s back in motion driven largely by TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud’s efforts. Long seen as a vital outreach tool, the sessions give party workers and the public a rare, unfiltered space to voice concerns, offer feedback, and interact directly with the leadership.

Party insiders say restarting the Mukha Mukhi programme was treated as a top priority, especially with the Congress government now settling into the rhythm of governance. The sessions are expected to tackle a mix of local issues, policy feedback, and organizational matters making them a valuable tool for both listening and explaining.

Congress cadres have welcomed the move, calling it a strong signal that the government intends to stay transparent and grounded. As the sessions roll out again, they’re seen not just as a platform for dialogue, but as a litmus test for how seriously the party takes accessibility and accountability in power.
