HYDERABAD: Advisor to the Telangana Government (SC, ST, OBC & Minorities), Mohammed Ali Shabbir, reaffirmed the Congress government’s commitment to the welfare of minorities while addressing an Iftar gathering at Khila Road in Nizamabad town. Extending Ramadan greetings, he emphasized the government’s dedication to inclusive development and communal harmony.

Shabbir Ali strongly criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his recent statement during a Hyderabad visit, where he allegedly claimed that the 4% Muslim reservation would be revoked. He asserted that neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor Amit Shah had the authority to remove the reservation, as it was legally secured through a prolonged battle in the Supreme Court.

He assured the Muslim community that the Congress government would continue to protect these reservations and uphold the secular fabric of the state. He emphasized that the Congress leadership believes in inclusive governance and rejects any attempts at religious division.

Promoting communal harmony, Shabbir Ali stated that Hindus and Muslims are like two eyes, reflecting the equal importance of all communities in Telangana’s progress. He urged the Muslim community to offer special prayers during Ramadan for the state’s development and for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision to make Telangana a leader in the country.

The event was attended by Urdu Academy Chairman Taher Bin Hamdan, Kesh Venu, Narala Ratnakar, Haroon, Khuddus, and several other dignitaries.
