Congress appoints new DCC presidents across 36 Telangana districts

Hyderabad: The Congress party on Saturday appointed new District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents for all 36 districts in Telangana, including Hyderabad, Khairatabad, and Secunderabad. AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal made the announcement through an official press release.

New appointments follow ground-level reviews

These appointments, which take effect immediately, are part of the party’s Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan. As part of this initiative, AICC observers conducted comprehensive reviews at the district level. They met with party workers, gathered feedback from stakeholders, and submitted detailed reports to the central leadership.

The newly appointed leaders include Syed Khalid Saifullah (Hyderabad), Motha Rohit Mudiraj (Khairatabad), and K. Deepak John (Secunderabad). Pinna Raghunath Reddy will serve as the DCC president for Mancherial, while Mohammed Ayub takes charge in Warangal.

Congress aims to boost district-level presence

K.C. Venugopal confirmed that senior leaders held one-on-one discussions with the observers after reviewing the field reports. Based on these consultations, the party finalised the list of new DCC heads to reinforce grassroots organisational strength ahead of key electoral contests.

Other key appointments include Thumkunta Anksha Reddy (Siddipet), Gudipati Narsaiah (Suryapet), K. Shiva Sena Reddy (Wanaparthy), and Dr. Chikkudu Vamshi Krishna (Nagarkurnool).

The Congress leadership expects the restructured district units to energise local cadre and improve coordination across all party levels as it prepares for future polls.
