Congress accuses BRS of cash-for-votes, fake videos in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Congress has accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of distributing cash and spreading fake videos to influence voters in Jubilee Hills ahead of the November 11 by-election. TPCC spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin alleged that BRS workers were offering direct bribes and using AI-generated content to defame Congress.

Speaking on Saturday, Nizamuddin described the tactics as a desperate move by BRS after sensing defeat. “They are bribing voters while releasing fabricated videos that falsely implicate Congress workers in similar activities,” he said.

Congress says BRS using AI-driven misinformation

He claimed the BRS campaign relied heavily on doctored images, manipulated audio clips, and AI-based visuals to mislead the electorate. “With just hours left before the campaign deadline on November 9, they have intensified a digital smear campaign to confuse voters,” he stated.

Nizamuddin asserted that the Congress had no need to offer cash, pointing to the party’s development record and widespread support. He noted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with senior ministers and legislators, personally led the Jubilee Hills campaign. “Public response during roadshows and door-to-door visits has made it clear that Congress is heading for a landslide victory,” he said.

BRS showing signs of panic, says Nizamuddin

He said ground reports had created panic within BRS ranks. “Their frustration is now visible. They know voters have rejected them and are trying to manipulate the outcome with unethical practices,” he said.

Calling for alertness among party workers, Nizamuddin urged the Congress cadre to remain vigilant until polling ends. “We must ensure that attempts to bribe or intimidate voters are exposed and stopped,” he said.

He concluded by contrasting the Congress’s transparent, development-focused campaign with what he described as the BRS’s last-minute acts of desperation. “Their credibility is lost. Jubilee Hills voters are ready to deliver a clear verdict,” he said.
