Revanth Reddy announced financial incentives of ₹2 lakh for marriages involving persons with disabilities—whether both partners are disabled or only one. He assured that the State would ensure job opportunities for qualified disabled individuals. This is especially for those excelling in sports.
He further stated that transgender people are being allotted government jobs and Indiramma houses. Additionally, ministers have been asked to nominate transgender individuals as co-opted members in municipalities and the corporation. This is to ensure their voices are heard in governance.
On elderly welfare, the Chief Minister said government employees who neglect their parents will face salary deductions of 10 to 15 percent under the upcoming ‘Pranam’ programme. “We must hold ourselves accountable and bring back dignity for our elders,” he said.
Revanth Reddy also announced that a new State health policy would be introduced in the upcoming budget session. “Our aim is 100 percent healthcare coverage for every person in Telangana. We are working toward a society based on social justice and equal opportunities,” he added.
