Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged HUDCO to extend low-interest HUDCO loans for major development works across Telangana. He met HUDCO Chairman Sanjay Kulshrestha in Hyderabad and said affordable financing was essential for several ongoing projects. As a result, he requested immediate support for works that depend on steady fund flow.
The Chief Minister asked HUDCO to assist priority projects such as the Regional Ring Road, Metro Rail expansion, Indiramma housing and new greenfield highways. Moreover, he said these works required consistent financing to maintain construction speed and meet deadlines. His remarks underscored the State’s growing infrastructure needs.
He also pointed to Bharat Future City, the Hyderabad Metro extension and radial roads as high-impact projects. Furthermore, he noted that rising construction demands needed firm financial backing. He raised concerns about old high-interest loans and urged HUDCO to consider restructuring them. Senior officials later briefed him on current borrowing conditions.
HUDCO loans for key State works
HUDCO confirmed approval of loans for the Indiramma housing programme and assured early release of funds for an additional ten lakh homes. Consequently, the Chief Minister said the support would strengthen the State’s housing push. He added that timely financing would help departments maintain construction speed and avoid delays.
In addition, officials outlined the required fund flow for upcoming phases and explained expected release timelines. The Chief Minister said coordinated planning would ensure steady progress across all priority projects and prevent disruptions.
Revanth Reddy invited the HUDCO Chairman to the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Secretary to the Chief Minister K. S. Srinivasa Raju, Principal Secretary to Finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Housing Department MD Gautam, HUDCO Regional Chief P. Subhash Reddy and senior HUDCO officials participated in the meeting.
