CM Revanth Reddy takes holy dip at Triveni Sangam during Saraswati Pushkaralu

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in the Saraswati Pushkaralu on Wednesday by taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Kaleshwaram. Accompanied by ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, and several MLAs, the CM also performed rituals at the Jnana Saraswati Pushkar Ghat.

Before the ceremonial bath, Revanth Reddy unveiled an idol of Goddess Jnana Saraswati and offered special prayers.

The twelve-day Saraswati Pushkaralu festival began on May 15, marked by rituals led by Madhavananda Saraswati Swamiji of Toguta Ashram. This is the first time the Saraswati Pushkaralu are being held at Kaleshwaram since the formation of Telangana state.

The confluence of rivers at Kaleshwaram—considered the sacred Triveni Sangam—has turned into a spiritual hub, drawing large crowds. Devotees are thronging the site for a holy dip and to seek blessings at the Mukteshwara Swamy temple.

Authorities have estimated that 1 to 1.5 lakh pilgrims are visiting daily during the Pushkaralu, which will continue till May 26. Extensive arrangements have been made for crowd management, safety, and religious events.

Every evening from 6:45 PM to 7:35 PM, a “Saraswati Navaratna Mala Harathi” will be performed. Cultural and artistic programmes have also been scheduled as part of the festivities.
