Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has received an invitation to participate in the Harvard AI policy symposium scheduled on March 27 at Harvard University.
Harvard Kennedy School invited him to address its first-ever policy event focused exclusively on artificial intelligence. Significantly, he is the only Chief Minister from India to receive an invitation to the international forum.
He will join a key panel titled “AI as Infrastructure & Compute Power: Impact on Livability & Workforce.” The session will examine the influence of data centres, energy systems and compute corridors on urban life and employment.
Moreover, organisers requested the Chief Minister to outline Telangana’s roadmap for developing a robust AI ecosystem. They also sought details on the State’s ambitious AI City initiative.
Global AI policy event to spotlight Telangana’s plans
At the Harvard AI policy symposium, Revanth Reddy will explain policy measures adopted by the Telangana government. In addition, he will discuss land allocation, power supply, skill development and investment partnerships.
Earlier, during his recent visit to the United States, university officials met him and initiated discussions about the symposium. Subsequently, the institution formalised the invitation.
The event aims to bring together leaders from government, industry and academia on one platform. Furthermore, deliberations will cover AI governance, geopolitics and the expanding knowledge economy.
Therefore, the invitation marks international recognition of Telangana’s efforts to position itself as an emerging technology hub. The Chief Minister’s address at the Harvard AI policy symposium will place the State’s initiatives before a global audience.
