CM Revanth Reddy orders strict action in excise constable Soumya death

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday directed the police department to take strict action against those responsible for the death of excise constable Soumya. She lost her life while on duty.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the Chief Minister said Soumya lost her life in the line of duty. He assured full support from the government to her family. Moreover, he described her passing as a grave loss to the department and the state.

In an official statement, Revanth Reddy conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. He also instructed officials to ensure that the culprits face stringent legal consequences. Furthermore, he added that the government would extend all necessary assistance to the constable’s relatives during this difficult period.

The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of protecting law enforcement personnel. He also warned that the government would not tolerate attacks on duty-bound officers. Moreover, officials have been directed to expedite the investigation and ensure justice is delivered without delay.
