Speaking to the media after reviewing the situation with officials from the Industries Department at the accident site, the Chief Minister said Sigaachi Pharma had 143 workers present at the time of the explosion. He said those with serious injuries would be given ₹10 lakh each.
He added that the government would constitute a special committee to examine safety protocols in industrial units across the state. Company managements were advised to prioritise safety and review internal procedures.
