CM Revanth to chair Cabinet meeting on July 10, local polls on agenda

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will preside over a Cabinet meeting scheduled for July 10 at 2 pm at the Secretariat, the state government confirmed on Monday.

According to sources, the Cabinet is likely to take a decision on conducting local body elections in Telangana, as directed by the High Court, which has mandated that polls be held by September 30.

Apart from the elections, the meeting is expected to focus on issues concerning farmers, especially given the arrival of the monsoon. Measures to support farmers during the rainy season are likely to be discussed to ensure they do not face hardships.

Other welfare programmes, including a possible review of the Indiramma housing scheme, could also be on the agenda as the Cabinet aims to strengthen social welfare initiatives.
