CM Revanth Reddy sets up control room after Chevella bus accident

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the Chevella bus accident that killed 21 people in Ranga Reddy district and ordered top officials to intensify rescue and relief efforts.

Soon after the collision near Mirzaguda, Revanth Reddy instructed Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, DGP Shivadhar Reddy and the Ranga Reddy District Collector to rush to the spot and monitor operations. He asked them to ensure prompt medical support for the injured and to keep him updated on every development.

Control room set up for coordination

The state government has set up a control room at the Secretariat to coordinate the response and assist victims’ families. Officials urged the public and relatives of passengers to contact the control room for information and support.

The accident occurred when an RTC bus rammed a tipper lorry on the Hyderabad–Bijapur highway, killing 21 people and injuring several others. Police and emergency teams shifted the injured to nearby hospitals and cleared the wreckage to restore traffic.
