Chandrababu Naidu re-elected as TDP national president at Mahanadu

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously re-elected as the national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) during the ongoing Mahanadu conclave in Kadapa.

Party leaders gathered on the second day of the annual event endorsed Naidu’s leadership without contest, marking yet another term for the veteran politician who has helmed the party since 1995.

TDP sources confirmed that multiple senior leaders proposed Naidu’s name for the top post, with wide-ranging support flowing in from across the organisational ranks. As no other nominations were received, the election committee, chaired by Vurla Ramayya, formally declared Naidu elected unopposed.

This marks a continuation of a three-decade-long leadership tenure. Naidu has been elected unopposed in every internal election since first taking charge in 1995. The TDP constitution mandates a leadership election every two years, and each time, the party has rallied behind him with near-unanimous support.
