New Delhi: Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar has assured the Centre’s continued support for infrastructure development in Telangana, following a meeting with Union Minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy in Delhi.
The discussion focused on ongoing urban development initiatives in Telangana undertaken by the Union Housing Ministry. Kishan Reddy urged Khattar to expedite pending infrastructure projects in the state and pressed for early completion of sanctioned works.

One of the key issues discussed was the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project. Kishan Reddy stated on the social media platform X that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) submitted by the Telangana government had recently reached the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
He said the ministry is currently reviewing the DPR for the Metro expansion and assured that necessary steps would be taken. Khattar reaffirmed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Centre would extend full cooperation for the development of Hyderabad and the broader Telangana region.
