Central team visits Medak district to assess rain damage

Hyderabad: A Central government team began a field visit to Medak district on Wednesday to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rains. The inspection aimed to evaluate the extent of crop and infrastructure losses in rain-affected areas.

The visiting team included Dr. K. Ponnuswamy, Vinod Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, and S.S. Pintu. They arrived at the district collector’s office, where Collector Rahul Raj, Additional Collector Nagesh, and Medak RDO Ramadevi welcomed them with flower bouquets.

After a brief meeting at the collectorate, the team proceeded to various parts of the district to inspect affected areas. Collector Rahul Raj, Additional Collector Nagesh, and other district officials accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

Central team’s visit held without media access

Because of the enforcement of the election code in the district, officials restricted media access during the Central team’s visit. The team is expected to submit a detailed report to the Union government based on its on-ground assessment.
