Central team visits Kamareddy district to assess rain damage

Hyderabad: A Central government team visited Kamareddy district’s Bhikkanur mandal on Wednesday to assess damage caused by the heavy rains that hit the region about six weeks ago. The team gathered on-ground details from local authorities in several affected areas.

The inspection began at Dasanamma Kunta, where the road leading to the new Dalitwada had been completely damaged. The members examined the site and interacted with local officials to collect data on the extent of the loss.

Later, the team proceeded to the outskirts of Anthampalli village and stopped at the bridge over Edla Katta Vagu. They inspected the damaged crops and the sand deposits that had accumulated across farmlands. Agriculture department officers briefed the delegation with maps and photographs showing the affected zones.

District Collector accompanies Central team during Kamareddy visit

Kamareddy District Collector Ashish Sangwan accompanied the team along with other district officials during the entire field visit. The team will prepare a comprehensive report for the Union government based on its findings from Bhikkanur mandal and nearby areas.
