Hyderabad: Census Enumeration will begin from May 10, with the State government stepping up preparations and holding a high-level review at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Chief Secretary C Rama Krishna Rao chaired a meeting of district collectors to assess readiness for the statewide exercise. He examined advance arrangements required to carry out the population count across districts within the fixed timeline.
Officials discussed the appointment of enumerators and the training to be provided before field deployment. The Chief Secretary also reviewed measures to ensure transparency during the house-to-house data collection process.
He directed collectors to complete all preparatory work before May 10 and strictly follow the notified schedule. He further stressed inter-departmental coordination to prevent delays once the enumeration exercise began.

The high-level meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and Sanjay Kumar. Chief Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Revenue Secretary Lokesh Kumar and Information Department Special Commissioner Priyanka also participated.
In addition, several census officials briefed the Chief Secretary on logistical requirements and field-level planning. The government reiterated its direction to complete the enumeration within the stipulated timeframe.
