Hyderabad: A car crash in Mirjaguda near Hyderabad killed four students on the spot after their vehicle rammed into a roadside tree in Mokila limits during the early hours of Thursday.
The accident occurred near Mirjaguda Gate shortly after midnight. Five students were travelling from Mokila towards Hyderabad when the car lost control at high speed. The vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree with severe impact, leaving it completely mangled.
The victims were third-year BBA students of ICFAI Business School (IBS), located at Dontanpally in Shankarpally mandal.

Four students died instantly due to the intensity of the crash. Police identified the deceased as Suryateja, Sumith, Srinikhil, and Rohith. Another student, Nakshatra, suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
After receiving information, personnel from Mokila Police rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. Police shifted the bodies to a government hospital for post-mortem examination and registered a case.
Officials said they had begun an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. The sudden deaths of the students triggered grief among their families and cast a pall of gloom over the college campus.
