Car accident on JNTU bridge under police investigation

Hyderabad: A speeding red car crashed on the JNTU bridge on Sunday morning, injuring a motorcyclist and disrupting traffic. The accident occurred around 7.50 am after the vehicle crossed the farmers’ market and struck the bridge divider before overturning.

According to initial reports, the car hit a two-wheeler during the impact, leaving the rider injured. Police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information and began rescue operations.

Five individuals were in the vehicle at the time—three young women and two young men. The men, identified as Sudanese nationals studying and residing in Shamshabad, were taken into custody for questioning.

The three women left the scene in another cab before police could record their statements. Authorities are now investigating whether the car was rented or provided by someone else. The condition of the injured motorcyclist remains unconfirmed.
