HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) welcomed the investment of the electric vehicle giant BYD in Telangana, calling it a positive development for the state. He credited the policies of the previous BRS government for attracting BYD to Telangana.
KTR recalled that in 2023, BYD and Olectra had already committed to a $10 billion investment in the state. He emphasized that BYD’s entry into Telangana is a direct result of the Formula E race held in Hyderabad, which showcased the state’s potential in the electric vehicle sector.
Congratulating everyone who worked for years to bring BYD to Telangana, KTR remarked that such investments would strengthen the state’s position as a hub for electric mobility. He reiterated that BRS had laid the foundation for Telangana’s industrial and investment growth, ensuring long-term economic benefits.
