Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi submitted BRS BLA signatures to the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana on Saturday for appointing Booth Level Agents. The move is part of preparations for the electoral roll revision.
In a letter to the CEO, Soma Bharath Kumar said the party authorised constituency in-charges to appoint BLAs. He stated that these representatives would handle appointments during the Special Intensive Revision process.
He added that the party had already issued instructions to submit BLA details to the respective Electoral Registration Officers. These details will be provided in the prescribed format to ensure proper documentation.
BRS BLA signatures submitted for electoral roll process
The BRS BLA signatures were submitted to facilitate smooth verification of authorised representatives. The party said this step would streamline the appointment of booth-level agents across constituencies.
It requested the CEO’s office to share the submitted signatures with Electoral Registration Officers if required. This, in turn, would help officials verify signatures in Form ID BLA-1 efficiently.
The initiative forms part of preparations for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Therefore, the party aims to ensure proper coordination with election authorities.
