Hyderabad: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj criticised Air India Express after his Guwahati–Hyderabad flight faced a long delay without proper updates. He said the episode turned into one of the worst travel experiences of his life.
Siraj slams Air India Express after four-hour delay without updates
Siraj said Air India Express flight IX 2884 should have departed from Guwahati at 7:25 pm. However, the airline pushed the departure by nearly four hours and, according to him, gave no clear information. He wrote that passengers waited in confusion as the airline offered no guidance. Moreover, he said the delay left everyone stuck inside the terminal without support.
He said the absence of updates added to his frustration. Siraj posted that the “four-hour delay still has no update” and called the situation the “worst flying experience” of his career.
Siraj travelled back to Hyderabad after India lost the Test series against South Africa 0–2. The team also suffered a 408-run defeat in the second Test played in Guwahati. Already disappointed with the result, Siraj said the delay only increased his irritation.
He returned home ahead of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa, which begins on November 30.
