Warangal: A bomb threat at Warangal District Court on Friday triggered a security alert and led to a complete evacuation of the court premises.
According to police, an unidentified caller phoned the control room on emergency number 100 claiming that a bomb had been planted in the court complex and could explode at any moment.
Following the alert, staff and visitors were evacuated and the premises thoroughly searched with the assistance of the bomb squad. No explosives were found during the operation.
This is the third such false alarm at the court in recent times. Police have launched an investigation to identify the person responsible for the hoax call.
Sources said that six detonators were found on court premises, but these were linked to a previously registered case from Atmakur and had been stored there following seizure. Officials confirmed the recovered detonators were unrelated to the bomb threat.
The incident caused brief panic before security teams declared the area safe.
