Hyderabad: Bill Gates, Founder and Chairman of the Gates Foundation, will visit Andhra Pradesh today and hold key meetings in Amaravati.
During the visit, Bill Gates will meet Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. The discussions will primarily focus on expanding the Gates Foundation’s partnerships in education, healthcare and agriculture in the state.
A six-member delegation will accompany Bill Gates. First, the team will tour the Real Time Governance (RTG) Centre at the Secretariat. Thereafter, officials will explain how the government uses technology to improve administration and public service delivery.
Bill Gates to review projects and Vision 2047 roadmap
Subsequently, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will present the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 roadmap to Bill Gates. He will also outline reforms undertaken across priority sectors.
In addition, the government will brief Bill Gates on the progress of the ‘Sanjeevani’ project, which operates with support from the Gates Foundation. Officials will review its implementation and outcomes in detail.
Later, He and the Chief Minister will visit an agricultural field near Undavalli. There, the delegation will examine modern farming practices that use drones and artificial intelligence. Ultimately, the visit aims to strengthen collaboration between the state government and the Gates Foundation.
