Bhatti hails selection of 43 Telangana candidates for civil services interviews

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday praised the selection of 43 Telangana candidates for the civil services interview round under the state-run Rajiv Gandhi Civil Services Abhaya Hastam scheme. He called the achievement a reflection of the government’s strong commitment to supporting unemployed youth.

Launched last year by the Congress government, the scheme aims to provide structured financial support to civil services aspirants. Bhatti said 342 youth have so far received a total of ₹3.62 crore in assistance through Singareni Collieries Company Limited.

State to provide funds, Delhi accommodation for interview stage

The scheme offers ₹1 lakh to each candidate who qualifies for the Mains examination and an additional ₹1 lakh to those who reach the interview stage. This year, 202 candidates received the Mains grant, and 43 of them have now progressed to the final round.

Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the government will provide the 43 shortlisted candidates with another ₹1 lakh each and accommodation in Delhi to support their interview preparations. He congratulated them and urged them to make Telangana proud at the national level.

He said the results reaffirm the government’s resolve to back merit and ambition through direct support. “This scheme is not just about funding but about nurturing confidence in our youth,” he said.
