BC Welfare Principal Secretary calls for stress-free exam preparation

Hyderabad: BC Welfare Department Principal Secretary E. Sridhar on Tuesday advised students appearing for SSC and Intermediate examinations to focus on stress-free exam preparation and study with confidence.

He urged teachers to introduce special English training for BC Gurukul and hostel students from Class 8 onwards. According to him, early English exposure plays a key role in effective exam preparation at higher levels.

The Principal Secretary addressed officials during a review meeting at the Nalgonda Collectorate conference hall. The meeting included representatives from BC hostels, residential welfare schools, and Gurukul institutions.

Sridhar said lack of proper understanding of English often weakens exam preparation among students. Therefore, he asked teachers to strengthen reading, writing, and speaking skills from the early classes.

Exam preparation to improve through early English training

With strong English skills from Class 8, students can reduce fear during SSC and Intermediate exams, Sridhar said. He added that this approach helps improve exam preparation and academic performance.

Comparing education systems, he said Gurukul institutions offered a better learning environment than private schools. Discipline, quality teaching, and personal attention support effective exam preparation, he explained.

He also said Gurukul institutions focused on overall personality development along with academics. Hence, he asked officials to further strengthen the Gurukul education system.

Speaking at the meeting, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Secretariat Secretary Badugu Saidulu called for special classes in English and Mathematics. He said such training would strengthen exam preparation and help students succeed in competitive examinations.

He also stressed the importance of providing quality food to students. Staff must prevent food adulteration and discharge their duties responsibly, he said.

Further, Saidulu directed officials to conduct parents’ meetings regularly. He assured that necessary repairs would be taken up in hostels housed in their own buildings.

The meeting was attended by District BC Welfare Officer A. Sanjeeva, regional RCWO Swapna, departmental officials, hostel officers, and principals of Gurukul schools.
