Hyderabad: BC Gurukul students’ results showed a sharp rise in Intermediate examinations, with students securing top ranks and achieving a pass percentage significantly above the state average.
Students from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Gurukul Educational Institutions recorded a 90 per cent pass rate, compared to the state average of 70.58 per cent. The results marked an increase of seven per cent in senior Intermediate and eight per cent in junior Intermediate compared to last year.
Top ranks in senior Intermediate were secured across streams. In BiPC, Shriya scored 994, followed by B. Himani and Rathod Nandu with 993 each. In MPC, B. Madhu and Srinidhi secured 994 marks. Other streams also recorded high scores, with Srilatha scoring 981 in CEC, Jahnavi 983 in MEC, and Rajeshwari 980 in HEC.
Junior Intermediate students also performed strongly. As many as 15 MPC students scored 468 marks, including P. Pravallika and K. Vaishnavi. In BiPC, P. Raghavi and V. Hemashree secured 438 marks.
BC Gurukul students’ results record high pass percentages across courses
For senior Intermediate general courses, 12,035 students appeared and 10,856 passed, resulting in a 90 per cent pass rate. Meanwhile, 14,783 students appeared in the junior Intermediate exams, of whom 12,664 cleared, recording an 86 per cent pass percentage.
Vocational courses also reported strong outcomes. First-year results showed 183 out of 191 students passed, while second-year results recorded 172 out of 176 students clearing the exams, translating to pass rates of 96 per cent and 98 per cent respectively.
As many as 33 colleges achieved 100 per cent results in senior Intermediate, including 17 girls’ and 16 boys’ institutions. In junior Intermediate, nine colleges recorded full pass rates, while eight institutions achieved 100 per cent results in vocational courses.
High scorers were recorded in large numbers. Among senior students, 97 candidates scored above 988 in MPC, and 62 crossed 985 in BiPC. Among junior students, 727 scored above 460 in MPC, while 459 exceeded 429 in BiPC.
Grade distribution also reflected strong performance. In senior Intermediate, 8,490 students secured an A grade and 2,097 secured a B grade. In junior Intermediate, 9,628 students achieved an A grade, and 2,360 secured a B grade.
BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and society secretary B. Saidulu congratulated students and teaching staff for the results.
