Bandi Sanjay padayatra to Kondagattu temple concludes successfully

Hyderabad: The Bandi Sanjay padayatra to the Kondagattu shrine concluded on Saturday after the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs walked nearly 40 kilometres to fulfil a vow made during the Karimnagar municipal elections.

The one-day march was organised under the banner “Anjanna Ashirvada Yatra”. Bandi Sanjay Kumar undertook the foot march along with BJP public representatives from his parliamentary constituency.

He had earlier vowed to walk to the temple of Lord Anjanna at Kondagattu if the BJP secured the Mayor’s post in Karimnagar. After the party won the position, he launched the Bandi Sanjay padayatra to offer prayers and fulfil the promise.

The march continued for nearly 11 hours. Despite temperatures touching around 40 degrees Celsius, he completed the long stretch on foot.

Along the route, the procession faced minor hurdles. At one stage, a disturbance caused by honeybees briefly disrupted the march. However, the BJP leader continued the journey and proceeded towards the temple without abandoning the padayatra.

Bandi Sanjay padayatra ends with prayers at Anjanna temple

The Bandi Sanjay padayatra ended at the Kondagattu Anjanna temple where he offered prayers after reaching the shrine.

Newly elected public representatives from the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency accompanied him during the visit. They included ward members, Deputy Sarpanches, Sarpanches, councilors, corporators, the Deputy Mayor and the Mayor.

After reaching the temple, the group performed special rituals and offered prayers to Lord Anjanna. The visit was meant to fulfil the vow made during the municipal election campaign.

The BJP representatives joined the minister at the temple premises after completing the foot march. Together, they participated in religious rituals conducted at the shrine.

The Bandi Sanjay padayatra was organised as a symbolic thanksgiving visit after the party secured the Mayor’s seat in Karimnagar. Party representatives said the yatra reflected the minister’s commitment to honouring the promise he had made to devotees and supporters during the election period.
