Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar cast his vote in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation elections on Wednesday.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar casts vote at Booth No. 361 set up at Jyothinagar School in Karimnagar. He arrived at the polling station along with his family members.
Standing in the queue like an ordinary citizen, he exercised his franchise. Meanwhile, officials and security personnel made elaborate arrangements at the polling station.
After voting, the Minister told the media that the vote was the most powerful weapon in a democracy. He urged citizens to exercise their franchise responsibly, keeping urban development in mind.

The Minister called upon youth to turn out in large numbers and take part in the electoral process. According to him, greater participation would strengthen democracy.
His visit drew attention at the Jyothinagar School premises. Party workers and local residents gathered to see him.
Officials maintained tight security arrangements during his visit. Polling continued peacefully at the centre as voters arrived steadily through the day.
