HYDERABAD: An auto driver was brutally murdered under suspicious circumstances in the Santosh Nagar police limits on Tuesday.
According to Inspector Kola Satyanarayana, the victim, 22-year-old Mohammad Aslam from Bandlaguda, worked as an auto driver. He left home on Monday morning and failed to return by evening, causing concern among his family members. They subsequently lodged a missing person’s complaint at the Bandlaguda police station.
While the investigation was underway, the Santosh Nagar police received information about a youth found lying in a pool of blood near the Dibbisha Dargah cremation ground. Police reached the scene and identified the deceased as Mohammad Aslam. His body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Aslam’s mother, Rehana Begum, filed a complaint alleging that a man named Faizal was responsible for her son’s murder. Police stated that a case has been registered and they are investigating the motive behind the killing.
