Anil Kumar Yadav files complaint against social media channel for defamation

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav has lodged a formal complaint with the Banjara Hills Police Station, accusing certain social media users of maliciously tarnishing his image.

In his complaint filed on Monday, Anil Kumar Yadav claimed that a social media platform, operating on X, has been running a targeted campaign to defame him.

Anil Yadav alleged that a social media channel is being used by the BRS party to spread misinformation and damage his reputation. Acting on the complaint, Banjara Hills police booked a case against the social media channel and have launched an investigation.

Sources said that earlier, another police station in the city had received a similar complaint from Congress leaders against the same social media account. During preliminary questioning, the administrator of the account reportedly denied any association with the BRS party.
