Telangana forms high-level committee to finalise Ambedkar museum themes

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has constituted a high-level committee to determine the thematic content and design of the Ambedkar museum situated beside the 125-foot statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar near NTR Gardens in Hyderabad. Though the towering statue has been unveiled, the accompanying museum is yet to be made fully accessible to the public.

To guide the development of the museum, the government has tasked a committee led by M. Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. The panel includes key officials such as the HMDA Commissioner, SC Development Department Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Commissioner, Chief Engineer of Roads and Buildings, and the Director of the Department of Culture.

The committee is responsible for shaping the museum’s vision, including selecting appropriate themes that reflect Dr Ambedkar’s life, legacy, and contributions. Once finalised, these themes will serve as the foundation for the museum’s full-scale development and public engagement initiatives.
