Amaravati construction in Andhra Pradesh gets Centre’s nod for ₹2,788 crore projects

Hyderabad: The Centre has cleared two stalled infrastructure projects in Amaravati, unlocking ₹2,788 crore for construction works that had been pending since 2018.

According to details released by the state government, ₹1,329 crore has been sanctioned for building residential quarters for central government staff. A separate ₹1,459 crore has been approved for the Common Central Secretariat complex.

The projects, which had been in limbo for over six years, are now set to move forward following this approval. The state government described the clearances as a critical milestone for Amaravati’s development and thanked the central government for its support.
